Alison Neighbourhood Community Centre is excited to offer a variety of arts, sports, and educational workshops this season.

March Workshops & Activities
Crazy Science!
AGES 6 - 8
Be your own scientist and learn new ideas while conducting cool experiments in your own home with this virtual workshop!
All the needed supplies will be delivered to your home before the first workshop.
$15 for 2 days.

Family Trivia Night
ALL AGES
Put your and your family's knowledge to the test in this fun online event!
Our ANCC leaders will host this 1 hour trivia game over Zoom. Some trivia categories will include:

"Memories in the Media"
There will be prizes awarded to the top 3 families! Who qualifies as a family? Any 2 or more people that like each other and want to compete as a team together.

Virtual event

AGES 6 - 8 and 9 - 12
Scratch is a fun and easy program for people of all ages! This introductory workshop teaches participants the basics of coding that allows them to bring their creative ideas to life.
Using the App Scratch participants learn how to code, create animations and build video game programs.

Grades SK - 2: Sat April 3rd, 10th, & 17th @ 11:00am - 11:45am
Grades 3 - 6: Thurs April 1st, 8th, & 15th @ 6:00pm - 6:45pm
May Workshops & Events

Adventure Club
GRADES 1 - 5
Leaders Rhys and Julia will guide grade 1-5 participants through a series of exploration, nature, science and outdoor activities. The program will give kids a chance to experience physical activity and outdoor play in new ways that they don't experience in their everyday lives, and teach kids how to safely take risks and work collaboratively with their peers to solve problems.
Starts May 5th
$25 for 6 weeks.

[LEAD]
GRADES 7 - 10
This is your first introduction to being a leader in community settings. Learn essential skills such as communication, conflict solving, and teamwork.
May 21st & 22nd | 9am - 4pm
$50 for full course.

Teen Community Garden
GRADES 8 - 12
Help us grow vegetables and herbs in our own community garden! Throughout the summer teens with maintain the gardens, learn how to cook dishes using local foods, learn about the Cambridge Food Bank and donate some of our produce to there programs, and finish of with an end of summer trip.
